HMI Community Summer Mission Project Applications

Greetings! Thank you for your interest in HMI’s Community Summer Mission Project (SMP). We are truly excited at the opportunity God has given us for this summer. Before you start filling out the application, please look over the requirements for the mission application.

Before you start filling out the application, it is imperative that you look over the requirements for this SMP application. It is mandatory that you fulfill all the requirements. Furthermore, you are required to attend all the training meetings. If you are involved with other extra-curricular activities or have responsibilities at work that require weekend hours, please consult with Pastor Andrew Jun (andrew.jun@hmcc.net) immediately.

REQUIREMENTS FOR MISSIONS

  • Must exemplify a growing relationship with Christ
  • If you are an undergraduate student, you must receive parental permission
  • Must have completed or will complete Experiencing Missions class
  • Must fast every Thursday as part of the spiritual conditioning
  • Must be able to attend all training meetings if accepted to the team

In filling out this application we ask that you will answer every question truthfully and prayerfully. This will help us in making final selections for the missions projects. The deadline for this application is Wednesday, January 21, 2009 at 11:59PM. Please email it to Pastor Andrew Jun at “andrew.jun@hmcc.net” before that date. Also, be sure to print out the Parental Consent Form and mail it to your parents so they can sign it and either mail or fax it to the church office by the required deadline.

Please note that actual dates for the field portions are still tentative and the locations are still pending. Training will begin in May 2009 and the field portion will span from July until early August 2009. Details will be disclosed as necessary.

As you consider this year’s community SMP, please prayerfully consider this opportunity to seek the heart of God for missions. From this local mission project, we desire to be prepared for a global church movement. This is not a short-term project, but the start of a lifetime endeavor!

For the gospel,

HMI Missions Board
