noun. an offensive military assault that penetrates and carries beyond a defensive line
In this life, the struggles of loneliness, inequality, violence, anxiety, illness, and others can all too
quickly become overwhelming. But we don’t have to be defeated by these struggles, and instead through Jesus’
death and resurrection, God has given us breakthrough
and hope. This Easter, we invite you to come experience
with us the hope and power that is found in the person of Jesus Christ.
WHAT IS EASTER?
At HMCC, we celebrate Easter as a reminder of a foundational aspect of our faith:
In His great love for us, Jesus chose to die in payment for the punishment we deserve for our sin.
We celebrate not only His sacrifice, but His victory as He resurrected and conquered death on our behalf.
The power of this love is that we are now free from the death we deserve for our sin
and have access to eternal life with our God.
We love sharing this message of love because there's nothing anyone can do to earn that freedom except by putting his or her faith in Him. Please join us as we celebrate Easter this year!

Please also join us during the week before Easter Sunday. Through these gatherings, we observe some of the main events leading up to Jesus’ resurrection: the last supper with His disciples, Jesus’ crucifixion, and the morning when His disciples discover His empty tomb.
