According to the Gospel accounts of Jesus’ ministries, Jesus Christ did not come to be served but to serve. And in the same way, the members of HMCC are expected to live out this principle of service to the edification of the church and to serve those outside of the family of God. With more than twelve ministry teams, there are plenty of ways to exercise the gifts and talents God has given to us by His grace in order to serve those around us.

6th Act
6th Act exists to support the ministry of the church through the dramatic and theatrical arts. Our goal is to present God's truths through creative and compelling movies, skits, and illustrations. We continually strive to improve the quality and reach of our ministry through the gifts and talents of our members.

Audio/Visual Team
The Audio/Visual ministry is the creative technology arm for many of the church's presentations. Whether it is running the sound for a special song or lighting up a drama, members are always on the exciting front lines of HMCC live productions. We believe that the gospel can be communicated with various creative mediums, and see it as a privilege to support the presentational teams who do so. With a desire for continual excellence and pushing the envelope, the AV team is always looking for God-inspired ways to elevate the Sunday experience for all those who attend.

Creative Worship
The Creative Worship ministry aims to empower worshipers to utilize their gifts in the area of music and creativity to help spread the gospel. We share our passion with others by performing at various events held inside and outside of church. Always seeking to reclaim the arts back from the world, our team always strives to come up with new genres and songs. We involve ourselves in special presentations, song-writing, musical production, and development of our skill. With a heart of a servant, we desire to strike a chord with all those who will listen so they may experience the source of our inspiration.

Dance Team
We exist to be a Christ-like community of true worshippers, who reflect the gospel message of Christ's love and hope to all people, by giving glory to God through the art of dance. We believe that worship is not only limited to singing. For us, dance is another expression of our love for God, and we hope to connect with this generation through various styles like hip hop and modern dance.

Documentations Team
The Documentations Team (Docs, for short) is dedicated to the use of creative video arts to communicate the glory of God and his Gospel, to encourage members of the church to love God more, to give avenues to share testimonies and information, and to supplement the ministry of the Word of God. The eyes are the lamp of the body, and what people see with their eyes will greatly influence the way that they live. We are dedicated to shining a light in this increasingly media-focused generation through videoography, photography, and editing, so that more can hear and believe the Word of God.

Helps Team
We strive to exemplify godly servanthood through our thoughts, actions, and lifestyle, administering God’s grace in various forms. We help edify the church through the application of our time and talents in helping other ministry teams so that they would be able to focus more on their specific callings and responsibilities. It is our sincere hope that, by helping behind the scenes with the little things, others will be able experience the great things God is doing.

Publications Team
The vision of the Publications Team is to promote Christ on the U of M campus and to the rest of the world through visual media. We are responsible for promoting HMCC and HMCC events by designing banners, website elements, the Sunday bulletin, t-shirts, signs, and various other media. The diversity of our members in artistic background, skill, expression, and thought enables us to produce with diversity. We desire to grow together in serving God with excellence by always seeking to improve our ministry so that we can accomplish our vision.

Resources Team
We desire to provide people with various tools to aid their spiritual growth. In order to equip the people of God and those that are interested in the Christian faith, we want to provide valuable resources that’ll spur deeper knowledge and intimacy with God. Whether through the recordings of various messages given at HMCC or published books or any other resources that are available, we hope to edify the community of faith.

Video Ministry
Video Ministry is an exciting new ministry in our church which will send our message to places that it has never been before and could never go otherwise. Through this ministry, sermons, classes, and seminars that are given right here in Ann Arbor, Michigan will be seen and heard all around the world via DVD’s and the internet. Video ministry will also send a message of God’s faithfulness into the future by recording and photographing his works in our church now, so that they can stand as a testament to his goodness for the next generation.

Visual Arts and Craftsmanship Team
We desire to transform a dull room into a worshipful environment in which the community of faith can freely worship. Through drawings, paintings, crafts, decorations, alongside just pure availability to help, we desire to create an atmosphere in which all those who enter our services will experience God’s presence through visual presentation.

Web Team
We are the team responsible for what you are currently reading. Though we are behind a computer coding all day and night, we exist to share what God is doing at HMCC to the world through multimedia technology. In an age where online communities are growing at an exponential rate, it is our desire to extend biblical community to the information superhighway. And we know that all the hours of coding are not in vain as members and visitors to our church bear witness to God’s faithfulness at our church.

Welcoming Team
Hospitality is what we are about, and so we desire to help facilitate in connecting the congregation to one another by inviting them to a warm and friendly atmosphere. We seek to provide an environment that is conducive for members and newcomers to feel welcomed and build relationships with one another but ultimately, to seek the presence of God. So if you are in need of assistance or just want to see one of our token smiles, we are here to serve.
